We’ll keep you at the top of your game. Sports organizations big and small across the Carolinas partner with Carolinas HealthCare System. Our team of athletic trainers can be found at Friday night football games, professional sporting events and youth soccer leagues. Look for our trainers at local running events, tennis clubs and college campuses. Our athletic trainers also have the region’s only mobile training vehicle to travel to events that don’t have medical facilities nearby.

Event Services and Medical Coverage
Our goal? To keep sporting events uneventful (from an injury perspective). Carolinas HealthCare System’s Event Medicine and Medical Coverage department provides the highest quality care in all environments – from little league games to large sporting events. Our staff of over 100 includes physicians, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, registered nurses and certified athletic trainers. We offer:
Advanced cardiac life support: Medical care that incorporates advanced airway, medications, cardiac, and trauma care via paramedic or higher level of personnel
Basic cardiac life support: Medical care that incorporates basic first aid, cardiac and trauma care standards
A sports medicine physician
Emergency medical technician
Certified athletic trainer: Specialists in prevention, evaluation, immediate care or treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries both on and off the field, through the direct support of our physicians
