2020 Healthiest Employers of Greater Charlotte Award Atrium Health celebrates being a winner of the 2020 Healthiest Employers of Greater Charlotte award in the Charlotte Business Journal’s 10th annual program that honors the top health and wellness programs in the region.
2020 Most Desirable Places to Work in Charlotte Charlotte Agenda surveyed over 1,000 of their newsletter readers regarding best places to work in the area. Atrium Health ranked third on Charlotte Agenda’s list of “Most Desirable Places to Work in Charlotte.”

2020 World’s Best Hospitals Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center ranked No. 6 in North Carolina and No. 124 in the United States on Newsweek’s “World’s Best Hospitals list for 2020.”
2020 ELSO Award for Excellence in Extracorporeal Life Support The ECMO Program of Carolinas Medical Center and Levine Children’s Hospital received their fourth consecutive ELSO Award for Excellence in 2020. The ELSO Excellence Award honors programs who reach the highest level of performance, innovation, and quality in the specialty of extracorporeal support. It is a visible sign, via an award plaque, that signifies an institutional commitment to exceptional patient care. The ELSO Award is recognized by U.S. News & World Report and Parents magazine as one criterion of top institutions.
2020 Best Maternity Hospitals Newsweek has released the annual list of the best maternity hospitals in the United States, which includes 231 hospitals across 36 states. Atrium Health Cleveland has been recognized as one of the 2020 Best Maternity Hospitals for demonstrating excellence in maternity care.
