Radiological imaging helps doctors diagnose and treat a number of illnesses and injuries. Carolinas HealthCare System offers the latest testing equipment and highly trained technologists and physicians who oversee the process.

Digital Imaging Network

Carolinas HealthCare System has developed the most extensive digital communication system in the region for imaging procedures, allowing physicians and technologists to access patient records for quicker, more accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Our digital network extends to our emergency and operating rooms. Patients experiencing an emergency event or surgery have all images immediately available. Radiologists can review scans from any location within Carolinas HealthCare System, which means a specialist at another facility can be contacted to assist in diagnosis.

Digital copies of a patient’s images also can be made for patients to bring to other healthcare facilities.
