Atrium Health Lincoln offers comprehensive maternity services in a warm and comfortable environment. Our birthing center, New Beginnings, has large spacious rooms where mom remains for the length of her stay including labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum. We practice mother-baby couplet care so that your newborn can be cared for at your bedside by the same nurse caring for you.

Each room has a baby shaped sink for easier bathing of your baby with a heat lamp overhead to keep baby warm during the bath. For your convenience, each room has a flat screen TV, a sleeper sofa for dad or other support person and a small refrigerator.

In addition to our newborn nursery, we also have a level 2 nursery for babies requiring special care. A pediatric hospitalist is available to manage the care of these babies. We have state of the art infant security system to give you peace of mind during your stay.

Pediatric Hospitalists

We want the hospital to be a place where kids and their families feel safe and supported. When your child stays at Atrium Health Lincoln, they’ll be looked after by one of our specialized pediatric hospitalists. These are doctors who work only in hospitals and bring the highest level of children’s care right to your community.

In addition to offering personalized, expert care, all of our pediatric hospitalists are affiliated with Levine Children’s Hospital. This means you have immediate access to LCH’s specialists and resources, if needed.

Your child’s health is our top priority. From the moment they arrive to after they’re back home, you can always feel confident knowing your family is in the best hands.

Visiting Hours

Visiting hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. We have a scheduled nap time daily from 2 to 4 p.m. in order to allow the new family uninterrupted rest time. Visitors are asked to wait in our spacious family waiting room during this time.

In order to provide a safe, secure environment to our new mothers and their newborns, The New Beginnings unit will be closed and locked after 8:30 p.m. each evening.

Fathers are able to visit the New Beginnings unit at Atrium Health Lincoln at any time. New Beginnings limits labor support during the delivery process to three people. We discourage visitation during this time due to our desire to provide a safe and secure environment for all laboring patients.
