Give Back to Jeff Gordon Children’s Hospital

The best gift you can give a child is simple – your time. At Jeff Gordon Children's Hospital, we have several volunteer opportunities for you to spend time with children ages 0-18. We have children of all ages, from a variety of backgrounds, with a variety of needs. If you could read a book, play a video game, or even color with a child, your time would be valued and appreciated. Perhaps you could sit with them while they have an X-ray, or surf the Internet with a teenager in the teen computer room. For more information about volunteering, call 704-403-1376.

Many people and area groups would like to donate materials to Jeff Gordon Children's Hospital's pediatric areas and playrooms. We are happy to accept donations. Since our patients are sick, there are some guidelines for donations:

  • All items must be new.
  • Make sure that there are no small parts as they could be choking hazards.

NorthEast Foundation has established the "E.L.L.A. Fund" – Encourage, Laughter, Learning, Achieving. Monetary donations to this fund will be administered by the Child Life specialists to purchase needed items for the playroom, including books, games, software, toys, holiday and seasonal party supplies, and any other current needs. To donate to the ELLA Fund, please contact the NorthEast Foundation.
