Jorge R. Alegría, MD

Dr. Alegría completed his residency in internal medicine at the Mayo Clinic, as well as the University of Concepcion in Chile, where he served as chief internal medicine resident.

He completed fellowships in cardiovascular diseases, interventional cardiology and adult congenital heart disease at the Mayo Clinic.

Dr. Alegría is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography. In addition to adult congenital heart disease, Dr. Alegría holds clinical interests in echocardiography in adult congenital heart diseases (transthoracic and transesophageal) as well as preventive cardiology.

Thomas S. Maxey, MD

Dr. Maxey completed his residency in general surgery at the University of South Florida and fellowships in cardiothoracic surgery and pediatric cardiac surgery at Emory University. He is triple board certified in surgery, cardiothoracic surgery and congenital cardiac surgery.

He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation.
