Biography

“Being able to help someone navigate and conquer their digestive health issues is very rewarding. I have wanted to help people with their medical problems since a family doctor helped my maternal grandmother overcome her severe illness when I was 11 years old.”

Dr. Sigmon is board certified in internal medicine, pediatrics and adult and pediatric gastroenterology. He specializes in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), celiac disease and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

He has been named a Top Doctor by Charlotte magazine and the Charlotte Business Journal and a Best Doctor by Best Doctors in America.

Dr. Sigmon received his bachelor’s degree and his medical degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he also completed residency and a fellowship.

He loves spending time outside of work with his wife, children and grandchildren. He enjoys hiking with his wife and fly fishing.
