Dr. Bhutani is board certified in hematology and medical oncology (cancer and blood disorders). She focuses on multiple myeloma, AL amyloidosis, plasma cell disorders, bone marrow transplants and malignant hematology.
She is motivated by the belief her work is her true calling. Each opportunity to make a difference in her patients' lives inspires her to continue that work.
Dr. Bhutani is an associate professor of medicine in the Division of Plasma Cell Disorders at Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute. She is involved in clinical trials investigating novel therapeutics in multiple myeloma, AL amyloidosis and smoldering multiple myeloma.
Dr. Bhutani received her medical degree at Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, India. She completed residency in internal medicine at Michigan State University. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center and a clinical fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the National Institutes of Health. She was the recipient of an American Society of Clinical Oncology Young Investigator award.
Away from work, she tries to minimize screen time and prefers spending time in nature. She also relaxes by putting her ideas into short poems. Dr. Bhutani and her husband are empty nesters after raising 2 sons, and in their free time the couple enjoys taking short vacations and home decorating projects.
