Biography

“Honestly, I could not see myself happy doing any other work. I love the relationships I build with families while caring for their children.”

Bost is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner. She specializes in primary care. She also has a passion for international healthcare and has worked with children in both Belize and Nicaragua since 2000.

Bost was drawn to medicine and neurological conditions. She was involved in intraoperative basal temporal language mapping used to preserve language and memory in patients with left temporal lobe epilepsy. She knew she was suited for a career in medicine after this experience, and she has always wanted to work in pediatrics.

She received her master’s degree in nursing at Yale University.

Bost has been involved in research for the treatment of movement disorders in children, particularly the use of topiramate for treating Tourette syndrome. The research was published in several journals and presented at the American Psychiatric Association Annual Meeting.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 sons. She loves traveling, hang gliding, scuba diving, whitewater rafting and ziplining. She has been volcano boarding in Nicaragua. She also loves reading biographies about interesting people who have overcome adversity.
