Biography

“I love taking care of patients of all ages and activity levels. On any day, I may treat a 5-year-old who fell on the playground and fractured her wrist, a middle-aged patient with rotator cuff tendonitis or a 95-year-old with knee arthritis. I love being able to help people either eliminate pain or reduce it so they can get back to the activities they enjoy.”

Dr. Foster is board certified in family and sports medicine. She specializes in general sports medicine, including sprains, strains, simple fractures, arthritis, tendonitis and concussions.

She has been named the North Carolina Athletic Trainers’ Association Sports Medicine Person of the Year and was a 2-time NCAA Division I All-American in track and field.

Dr. Foster received her medical degree at the State University of New York and completed a family medicine residency at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, NY. She completed a fellowship at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.

In her spare time, she enjoys being active outdoors with her husband and 3 daughters. They love going to the beach and exploring parks and playgrounds. Dr. Foster enjoys running, golfing, cycling and cheering on Syracuse University basketball and the Carolina Panthers.
