Beril Cakir, MD

“It is a privilege to take care of people when they are most vulnerable, trusting us with their lives and health. Every day, I do my best for rapid diagnosis, using the latest technology and testing to start the proper treatment according to up-to-date guidelines. Every patient is unique, requiring specific care plans due to individual needs. Listening to my patients, understanding their concerns, communicating with them and their families in a timely fashion and trying to take away the fear and anxiety of hospitalization are my top priorities.”

Dr. Cakir is board certified in internal medicine. She focuses on treating patients who are hospitalized.

She received her medical degree at Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey. She completed residency in internal medicine at Moses Cone Hospital. She received a master’s degree in public health with a focus on epidemiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Cakir is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) and a Senior Fellow in Hospital Medicine (SFHM) for the Society of Hospital Medicine.

Outside of her work, she enjoys painting, fundraising for good causes through her artwork, baking and traveling.
