Pediatric Palliative Care

If your child faces a serious illness, nothing is more important to you than easing their pain and keeping them comfortable. At Levine Children's Hospital, our palliative care team is focused exclusively on maintaining your child's comfort and well-being.

Our team – made up of palliative care doctors, care coordinators, social workers and staff – is dedicated to offering care and treatment that minimizes your child's suffering. At any point in your child's treatment, palliative care can be combined with other treatment therapies to focus on living life as fully as possible.

Pediatric Palliative Care Services

Our palliative care team offers your child and your family:

• Management of pain and symptoms, including poor appetite, constipation, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting
• Emotional, social and spiritual support
• Help determining care goals
• Help with decisions about end-of-life care
• Referral to community resources
• Collaboration with home care agencies and hospice
• Grief counseling
