Levine Cancer Institute has registered dietitians on staff to help patients develop a plan to nourish their bodies throughout cancer treatment—including supplements for those having a difficult time finding foods they can handle—and during recovery. Nutritional support available includes:
- One-on-One Consultation - patients referred by their provider can meet on an individual basis with an oncology-certified dietician to develop a nutritional plan aimed at promoting optimal health through treatment and beyond.
- Grocery Store Tour - free grocery store tour is provided by a registered oncology dietician at an area grocery store.
- Nutrition 101 - educational class that will help patients gain knowledge about basic nutrition needs as well as discuss nutritional management for side effects of treatment.
- Nutrition for Women with Breast Cancer - nutrition class designed specifically for women coping with breast cancer.
