Based at Carolinas Medical Center, Wake Forest University School of Medicine Charlotte provides a longitudinal integrated curriculum for third- and fourth-year medical students. This course of study applies best clinical practices, current technologies and relationships with patients.

From advanced practice provider (APP) students to novice graduates, the Center for Advanced Practice is dedicated to promoting and supporting the lifecycle of the APP. We offer more than 20 fellowship programs for APPs including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, certified registered nurse anesthetists, clinical nurse specialists and nurse midwives.
Center for Faculty Excellence
The Center for Faculty Excellence supports and enhances the expertise and skills of faculty in academic leadership, teaching and research. The multi-specialty and inter-professional Center provides resources, continuing education offerings and personal consultations to foster leadership, enhance instructional effectiveness, and improve the academic environment.
Carolinas Simulation Center
Carolinas Simulation Center gives healthcare professionals at all levels the opportunity to use interactive, lifelike manikins and other equipment to simulate procedures and situations in a safe learning environment. Carolinas Simulation Center is the region’s only facility to achieve dual accreditation by the American College of Surgeons and Society for Simulation in Healthcare.
Charlotte Area Health Education Center (AHEC)
Charlotte Area Health Education Center (AHEC) provides continuing professional development for healthcare providers in allied health, dental health, medicine, behavioral health, nursing, pharmacy and more. Using the latest technologies, evidence-based practices and cutting-edge trends in healthcare, we provide opportunities to deepen your knowledge and skill set, maintain licenses, obtain certifications, as well as a variety of additional services.
