Since trauma impacts all healthcare providers effective coordination of care and clinical integration among Trauma Centers and all care locations requires communication and collaboration across the Trauma System. Healthcare providers must work together to build clinical programs that meet the needs of injured patients across geographies and care settings.
To best meet the needs of injured patients, the strongest Trauma Systems are all-encompassing and account for the full continuum of care surrounding the moment where an injured patient receives care at a healthcare facility — injury prevention, pre-hospital care, post-acute care/recovery and secondary prevention are key components in the comprehensive Trauma System.
Carolinas HealthCare System is home to six designated Trauma Centers:
|Level I||Carolinas Medical Center|
|Level III||Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast
Carolinas HealthCare System Cleveland
|Level II||AnMed Health|
|Level III||Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital
