Orthopedic Trauma Nurse Practitioners

The Orthopedic Trauma Service employs four full-time nurse practitioners to assist with patient care from Mondays to Fridays, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Our NP’s have many years of experiences in orthopedic trauma and make the work flow manageable for the trauma service, from helping with discharges to seeing consults in the emergency department.  For the junior residents they serve as an invaluable educational resource and provide them the opportunity to spend time in the operating room on a regular basis. 

Orthopedic Casting Technicians

CMC employs a full-time staff of well-trained Ortho-Techs available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They provide an additional set of trained hands to help residents place splints and casts on the wards and in the emergency rooms. They are a huge asset to the program, allowing work to be done more efficiently and helping teach residents about casts and splinting techniques.
