The Department of Medicine consists of a group of devoted clinician-educators, with a full-time faculty of over 50 and a private part-time faculty of over 75. The residents interact with our faculty daily both on wards and in clinics, and we strongly promote one-on-one education. Our faculty serve as leaders in their respective fields and are engaged in numerous scholarly activities. In addition, many of the core faculty have private practice experience which allows for the information passed to the housestaff to be both evidence-based and practical. Faculty on this page:

Raymond F. Bianchi, MD, FACP Specialty: General Internal Medicine Medical School: University of Florida Residency: Carolinas Medical Center Special Info: Dr. Raymond Bianchi joined the faculty in 1976. He was named the director of medicine clinics and associate chairman in 1980. In 1982, he joined Charlotte Medical Clinic; in 1994, he rejoined the faculty as the program director.
