Stephen Causey completed his undergraduate education at Emory University, where he received a B.S. in Biology and Anthropology. Thereafter, he earned a Master in Public Health and Epidemiology.

In 2008, Stephen enrolled in medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, Virginia. He completed a doctorate of medicine in 2012. While attending medical school, he was awarded the Shaia Family Scholar Award for demonstrating “characteristics of a patient-centered physician”.

His hobbies include: hiking, camping, and cooking with his wife, Kim.
