Higher education institutions must be authorized to offer distance education programs and/or courses in states other than their own. Admission to a program or course is dependent on Cabarrus College’s ability to secure authorization from the applicant’s state of residence, if authorization is required.

Student Complaint Procedures

Cabarrus College of Health Sciences seeks to quickly resolve complaints and grievances. Students who are enrolled should follow the College's Appeal Procedure as outlined in the College Catalog   (pages 32-33 and 66-67).  Students needing assistance in navigating the appeal process should contact the Coordinator, Student Success:  Mrs. Sherry Hamilton @ sherry.hamilton@cabarruscollege.edu or 704-403-1616.

SARA-NC Complaint Process

Cabarrus College of Health Sciences is a member of the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement – North Carolina (SARA-NC) which is the state portal agency for the North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority.  If unable to resolve a complaint at the college level, students have the right to contact the state portal agency, SARA-NC, to submit a complaint. Students should follow the agency’s complaint process and use the form listed below.

If an issue is not resolved according to internal college procedures, a student has the right to file a complaint with the institution's regional accreditation agency. Students may submit a complaint to the College’s accrediting body if an issue has not been resolved and are encouraged to review the Complaint Procedures Policy Statement prior to filing a complaint.
