The Carolinas HealthCare System University Sleep Disorders Center offers the expertise to treat all sleeping problems, from those affecting children to those affecting adults. Sleep disorders can affect many aspects of a person’s health and general quality of life. A correlation has been shown between snoring and sleep apnea and some forms of cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, stroke and heart attack. Treating a sleep disorder can reduce risk for these health issues
