The Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast is available for women with high-risk pregnancies. Five days per week, a physician specializing in high-risk obstetrics (or perinatologist) is available to see patients referred by family medicine or OB/GYN physicians.
Caring physicians provide consultation, diagnosis and management for expectant mothers whose pregnancies are or may be high risk. In addition, we provide reproductive endocrinology and genetic counseling services as well as consultation for menopausal women.
The clinic provides ultrasounds, amniocentesis, and electronic fetal monitoring. These procedures can help determine if the fetus or mother are progressing normally.
