Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) is the largest hospital in Carolinas HealthCare System. From modest beginnings in 1943, CMC has evolved into a world class facility that offers a full range of services to the Charlotte community and beyond.

Situated on the campus of Carolinas Medical Center are Levine Cancer Institute's academic and research headquarters, Carolinas Rehabilitation, and Levine Children's Hospital, ranked among the top 50 children's hospitals in the nation. CMC is the largest research hospital in the region and is a Medicare-approved transplant center in kidney, pancreas, liver and heart.
