Speech Therapists
Speech-language pathologists work to optimize individuals’ ability to communicate and swallow. They specifically work with patients who have developed speech or swallow abnormalities following a traumatic brain injury, oral/facial injury or tracheostomy in the trauma population. They focus on diagnosing and treating to improve sound production, resonance, voice, fluency, comprehension and expression, cognition, feeding and swallowing.
