Community investments and sponsorships enable Atrium Health to:

  • Create mutually beneficial partnerships that extend our mission
  • Achieve the best choice for care
  • Align resources with areas of anticipated growth and community priorities
  • Strengthen our community commitment and support the culture and diversity of those we serve
  • Impact identified community health needs and aim to reduce health disparities such as access to care and social economics
  • Provide, as a not-for-profit healthcare system, accurate accounting and transparency for our community investments

Application Process

Applications are accepted beginning in January, May and September of each year. You must complete your request at least 12 weeks before your event. Once applications are reviewed, applicants are notified by email as indicated below.

Application Guidelines

If you meet all of the guidelines and organization requirements below, we invite you to submit your application.

We consider community sponsorships and investments that:

  • Are mutually beneficial for the community and Atrium Health
  • Provide opportunity to create long-term value
  • Have the ability to reach targeted audiences and the potential for building long-term, sustainable relationships
  • Offer positive engagement with the community
  • Leverage additional resource investments and share Atrium Health expertise
  • Allow Atrium Health employees to connect with the organization
  • Enhance internal strategies and business growth

Organization Requirements

To be eligible for sponsorship, organizations must meet the following requirements:

  1. Organization has a valid 501(c)(3) tax status. If the program is serving the community or has a charitable purpose, we also consider investments for organizations that have a valid tax status of 501(c)4, 501c6, 501c8, 501c10, or 501c19. Eligible organizations include:
    • Local, state or federal government agencies
    • School districts/systems or universities
    • Tribal organizations
    • Religious or faith-based programs that:
      • Are open to the general public regardless of affiliations or beliefs
      • Do not advance religious doctrine or philosophy
      • Do not discriminate in employment or hiring practice
  2. Fall within the geographic areas that Atrium Health serves or areas of anticipated growth.

Atrium Health has the right to request exclusivity in certain sponsorship categories. This will be determined upon further assessment of potential partnership.

Exclusions

Atrium Health does not contribute to:

  • Organizations that discriminate or deny service based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, or source of payment.
  • For-Profit Organizations
  • Individuals or individual fundraising efforts
  • Political campaigns or parties
  • Religious organizations (churches/synagogues). Certain community service programs supported by religious programs may be eligible (e.g., soup kitchens, homeless shelters, job banks).
  • Individual pre-K and K-12 schools (public or private)
  • Individual athletic events or athletic programs
  • Travel-related events
  • Endowments and/or Capital Campaigns
  • Golf events/tournaments* – Fundraising efforts must directly be tied back to services at Atrium Health Facilities or Atrium Health service lines – Contact your relationship manager with any questions.
  • Walks and/or runs* - Fundraising efforts must directly be tied back to services at Atrium Health Facilities or Atrium Health service lines – Contact your relationship manager with any questions.

Investment Request Application

Our Request for Proposal period is now open. Please refer to the dates listed that correspond with your program/project and If you have any questions or your program/event falls outside of the specified timeframes listed, please email sponsorships@atriumhealth.org AND reach out directly to your Atrium Health relationship manager for further directions. If you do not have a current relationship manager, please email all details to above email and we will assign based on your location.
