About Us

Established in 1990 by Laramie Williams, MD, PhD, Arboretum Pediatrics operated as a solely owned private practice for five years before joining Carolinas HealthCare System in 1995 to provide expanded services to the patients of the practice and community. In 1997, the practice expanded by acquiring Satterfield Pediatrics, a pediatric practice solely owned by Jamison Satterfield, MD.

Our physicians currently admit acutely ill children to Levine Children's Hospital and care for newborn infants at Carolinas Medical Center-Main. Levine Children's Hospital is the largest children's hospital between Atlanta and Washington, DC, with over 30 specialized pediatric services including the highest designated level of neonatal intensive care.

All of our providers are board-certified and dedicated to providing your family with the highest quality individualized care. Our providers and staff strive to provide excellent service to families in the south Charlotte area.

Arboretum Pediatrics Mission Statement

To make a world of difference in the lives of children, adolescents and their families by providing the highest quality medical care and service through continuous education, improvement initiatives, and a personal touch.
