CMC-Home Care offers healthcare services in the comfort of your home. You can be in familiar surroundings, close to family members, and still receive attention from highly skilled, specialized healthcare professionals. This care may also reduce the amount of time you spend in the hospital or even eliminate the need to be admitted to the hospital.

Home care is part of the continuum of care for patients to reach their optimum level of wellness and disease management.

CMC-Home Care services, which are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, include:

Skilled nursing care

Home health aides

Physical therapists

Occupational therapists

Speech therapists

Medical social workers

Patient education

Wound care

Pain management

Women and children's services
CMC-Home Care professionals will work with your physician to coordinate the necessary services, supplies, and care in the home.

Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance include home care benefits.

Home care is licensed by North Carolina.

If you are eligible for Medicare/Medicaid, you should be certain that the home care agency is Medicare certified.

Home care agencies are eligible for Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) accreditation.

CMC-Home Care and CMC-Home Infusion and Equipment is licensed, Medicare-certified and JCAHO accredited.

Patients can receive IV antibiotics and other drugs at home.

Following a hospitalization of five days or more, most patients over age 75 will benefit from home care.

Patients have the right to request home care services, and the agency they wish to have provide the services.

Under home care, nurses, therapists, aides and social workers visit the patient on an intermittant basis and train the family to be involved in the care.
