How To Become A Carolinas Rehabilitation Inpatient

A PATIENT'S GUIDE

We want to welcome you to Carolinas Rehabilitation. The following is a list of items that will aid in your rehabilitation stay with us.

What to bring
You are encouraged to wear loose-fitting, everyday clothing during your rehabilitation stay. We ask that you bring at least one week's supply of washable clothing items. We provide a washer and dryer at each facility for your use.

Clothes

  • Blouses/shirts with front buttons
  • Slacks
  • Sweatsuit(s)
  • Secure fitting walking shoes(no sandals or high heels)
  • Pajamas/bathrobe
  • Underwear
  • Ribbed soled bedroom shoes
  • Sweater/light jacket
  • Socks
Toiletries
  • Before/after shave lotion
  • Toothpaste and toothbrush
  • Electric razor
  • Deodorant
  • Shampoo and conditioner
  • Hair dryer
Personal Items
  • Dentures and denture care materials
  • Battery operated or safety razor
  • Hearing aid and extra batteries
  • Eyeglasses and case
  • Makeup
Equipment
  • Wheelchair
  • Braces/splints
  • Cane/walker/crutches
  • Prosthesis
* Please mark all personal items clearly with patient's name

Valuables
We recommend all valuable, jewelry, credit cards and cash, over $5, are left at home.

Visitation/Participation
Our focus is patient and family education and training so we encourage open, involved participation. However, visiting hours may be limited if the treatment team feels this is in the patient's best interest.

Inpatient Therapy Schedule:
Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Most treatments occur during these hours)
Saturday - Sunday Therapy schedule is flexible and adjusted to meet the patient's needs.
