The Employee Assistance Program is a confidential service provided at no cost to the employees of member companies. EAP provides certified counselors who administer assessment and brief therapy to employees who want help with a variety of personal and work-related issues such as stress, parenting concerns, grief, alcohol/drug use, family problems, financial concerns, and work-related problems.

Our EAP Counselors are masters-level clinicians who are Certified Employee Assistance Professionals. Many hold additional licenses or certifications including: Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC); National Certified Counselor (NCC); Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

EAP is a good investment for companies interested in maintaining a healthy and productive workforce. Often, a few sessions with an EAP counselor in a professional, confidential, and safe setting will help an employee begin to work through his/her problems. If additional treatment is needed, the EAP counselor can recommend further treatment options.

EAP counselors are available to help employees understand how their insurance coverage can be applied to additional counseling/treatment.

As a member of the Behavioral Health Centers of Carolinas HealthCare System, the Employee Assistance Program has access to all the services of Carolinas HealthCare System including the 24-hour Call Center, staffed by masters-level mental health professionals and registered nurses.
