RESIDENCY PROGRAM
Residency Training
For ten years, McKay Urology has been a major component of UNC - Chapel Hill's Urology Residency Program. Drs. Teigland, Kennelly, and Irby serve as the urologic faculty for Carolinas Medical Center, providing clinical residency training to urology residents from UNC. As part of a five-year program, UNC urology residents spend six months with McKay Urology. Other CMC residents rotating on urology include:
- Internal Medicine Residents
- Family Medicine Residents
- OB/GYN Residents
- Physical Medicine Rehabilitation Residents
- General Surgery Residents
This Urology Residency Program has significantly improved the urologic care of indigent and trauma patients at Carolinas Medical Center.
