Physicians have also participated in interdisciplinary studies focusing on a broad range of health issues. Our research supports Levine Cancer Institute, Sanger Heart and Vascular Institute, the Liver-Bilary-Pancreatic Center, Department of Emergency Medicine and Trauma and more. Interdisciplinary efforts include Oral Medicine and Oncology for chemotherapy-related oral complications; Urology and Carolinas Rehabilitation for spinal cord injury related complications; and Neurosurgery and Cardiology for emergency interventions to treat strokes and aneurysms.
