Course of Study
The program is completed in seven semesters of full time study for students entering with a BSN. For those students entering with a MSN the program is completed in seven semesters but with a reduced per semester credit load. A more detailed overview of the curriculum can be viewed below.
Human patient and other lower fidelity simulation is used throughout the program’s curriculum. Students have ongoing access to the METI HPS Simulator as well as all Laerdal Simulator Models. Additional training occurs using central venous, arterial, nerve block, intubation, and other parts trainers.

Tuition and Fees
The cost of the program consists of tuition and fees paid to UNC Charlotte, clinical fees paid to CMC Nurse Anesthesia Program and other associated expenses. An estimate of total program cost can be found in the hyperlinks below.

The Forgivable Education Loan for Service was established by the North Carolina General Assembly in 2011 and the first loans will be made available for the 2012-13 academic year. The loan provides financial assistance to qualified students who are committed to working in North Carolina in fields designated as critical employment shortage areas. Southeast Anesthesiology Associates offer a "Living Scholarship" to assist selected nurse anesthesia students with living expenses during the time they are enrolled in the Carolinas Medical Center Nurse Anesthesia Program/UNCC. The Scholarship is highly selective; typically only two recipients are selected per year. The scholarship has been offered since January of 2003. The maximal monthly award is $900 for the last 15 months of the Program (not to exceed $13,500 for the length of the program). Selection for the scholarship will occur at the end of the first year of enrollment. Scholarship award is dependent upon the availability of ongoing funding from Southeast Anesthesiology Consultants P.A.
