The best gift you can give a child is simple – your time. Time to play. Time to talk. Time to learn. Time to heal. Our volunteers give that gift every day. They offer help and a healing touch for patients and families who are anxious, worried and frightened. They alleviate these natural fears and apprehensions and help our patients and families feel at ease.
Every year, more than 500 people contribute 18,000 volunteer hours, and we couldn't do it without your support.

Educational learning sessions give students the opportunity to connect with healthcare professionals and explore a broad variety of hospital specialties. By combining hands-on experience through volunteer work and education, the program fosters interests of the healthcare leaders of tomorrow, while serving the community of today.

Our patients deserve to have an outstanding experience at Levine Children's Hospital. Patient Experience Ambassadors help make sure that happens by working with our nursing units, visiting patients to ensure every patient is receiving the best care possible.
Community Volunteers assist at events outside the hospital setting, such as health fairs. These volunteers help distribute information about Levine Children's Hospital, help prepare for events and fulfill a variety of other responsibilities. Community Volunteers are not asked to commit to a regular schedule and can commit to an event when it works with their schedules.
Special Interest Volunteers help Levine Children's Hospital by doing the things they love most. Whether it's knitting blankets for infants or creating backdrops for story time, these volunteers help bring a smile to our patients and their families.
Our Pet Visitation Volunteers bring their certified pet visitation animals to visit identified patients. They also supervise the interaction between the dog, patient and visitors to ensure safety. Learn more about Pet Visitation at Levine Children's Hospital.
