      The Farmer’s Market happens every Thursday from 4 – 7 p.m. now through October 29 in front of the main hospital entrance. Please come outside to see us and enjoy the easier access to great, local, fresh foods!  We will feature a bountiful assortment of fruits and vegetables; honey and honey products and much more!

  • Carolinas ContinueCARE Hospital at University: A 35-bed, long-term acute-care hospital located on the fourth floor of Carolinas HealthCare System University. Provides care to patients who have medically complex conditions, including chronic illnesses.
  • The Teaching Garden at Carolinas HealthCare System University is an organic fruit, vegetable and herb garden highlighting the nutritional and environmental benefits of fresh, locally grown produce in an interactive and educational way. The garden serves as an outdoor classroom for all, teaching healthy habits to hospital visitors and staff, local schoolchildren and members of the wider community.
  • Community Health
    • Carolinas HealthCare System University and the YMCA of greater Charlotte are building a healthy community through Carolinas HealthCare System Health Centers inside Charlotte area YMCAs. This collaborative effort provides preventive health education and wellness programs to the community. Registered nurses, available at the health centers to all members of the community, help enhance spirit, mind and body through disease prevention, health education, early detection of illness or injury, and appropriate medical referral.

  • GetWell Network: Additionally, more than 1,700 patient rooms in Carolinas HealthCare System hospitals, including Carolinas HealthCare System University, are equipped with Interactive Patient Care, powered through the GetWell Network. Interactive patient care allows patients to:
