Patient & Visitor Alert: Because flu cases are on the rise, starting February 24, children 12 and younger will be restricted from visiting hospitals and certain inpatient facilities throughout Carolinas HealthCare System. Learn more.
Visitors are an important part of the care of our patients. To allow our patients to rest and be safe, all visitors must follow these guidelines:
Please wash your hands before visiting.
In general care areas, visitors must be at least 12 years old.
Children 12 and younger are allowed to visit as long as they do not have an infectious disease and are accompanied by an adult.
Please be quiet. No loud noises.
Do not visit if you have a cold, sore throat, pink eye, flu, vomiting, diarrhea, unexplained skin rash, open draining sores or any contagious disease.
Look for no visiting and precaution signs before entering the room.
If asked, please step out of the room while we care for the patient.
Allergic sensitivity to latex products is a concern to many staff and patients. To help maintain a latex-safe environment, we ask visitors to include only mylar balloons when bringing a balloon bouquet to family and friends.
