Comprehensive Melanoma Treatment
Functioning as a multidisciplinary team, the Melanoma/Skin Cancer Program consolidates various services, which allows the patient to have a comprehensive treatment specifically designed for them.
The staff includes experts in surgical, medical and radiation oncology. Using the expertise of these specialists, the weekly multidisciplinary melanoma team conference discusses treatment options to devise the best plan of care for each patient.
Outpatient Melanoma Care
Patients requiring treatment are cared for at Levine Cancer Institute. Outpatient treatment is provided in an area specially designed for infusions, chemotherapy and transfusions.
The area is staffed by nurse specialists in chemotherapy, an oncology pharmacist, nutritionist, counselor and a chaplain.
