Bone and soft tissue cancers are complex to treat, requiring the skills of many highly specialized physicians. In the past, patients were sent from one specialist to another, each separately reviewing diagnostic studies.
Together since 1992, the Bone and Soft Tissue Group has seen and evaluated thousands of musculoskeletal tumor patients.

Focus on the Patient
Communication with patients and caregivers is an important priority at Levine Cancer Institute. We believe that treating the whole person, not just the disease, is best for patients and family members.
At the Institute, we offer a broad range of emotional support programs designed to help patients and family members cope with the range of issues related to life during and after cancer treatment.
Bone and Soft Tissue Tumor Group
The Bone and Soft Tissue Group meets weekly with all members of the bone and soft tissue tumor team to coordinate patient evaluation, diagnosis and treatment. Our commitment is to provide the most appropriate recommendations for the patient based on the evaluation of each individual case
After the initial assessment, patient cases are presented at a weekly conference where the clinical, radiographic and pathologic information is evaluated. State-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic options are discussed.
Treatment options are considered after careful assessment of a patient's symptoms, functional status, radiologic studies and available pathologic material.
