Ms. Mowrer has been with the Department of Family Medicine Research Division at Carolinas HealthCare System since 2009. She joined the Dickson Advanced Analytics (DA2) group in 2011 in a collaborative effort on the Asthma Comparative Effectiveness (ACE) Study. Ms. Mowrer has worked on studies using qualitative and Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR) methodologies to work with underserved populations and community partners in the Charlotte, NC area. She brings this expertise to the ACE Study leading the team on focus groups, quality of life surveys and advisory boards. She received her BA from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Spanish Language and Culture studies. Her research interests include community based participatory research and qualitative methods, community health, access issues and health disparities research among newly arrived immigrant populations.
