Mrs. Reeves is currently working on the ACE Study to improve asthma outcomes by improving quality of care for patients with asthma. Her primary focus is facilitation of research sites to implement a shared decision making model of delivering asthma care. Ms. Reeves has assisted with the development and implementation of an online and electronic medical record-based asthma action plan. Her research interests include improving quality of care by facilitating evidence based practice collaboratively through all points of care. She also has special interest in underserved populations, most especially disparities to chronic disease prevention and management.
She has served on the board of the Mecklenburg County Asthma Coalition, co-chairing annual asthma awareness and education forums. Is an advocate in facilitation of transparent collaboration between provider, hospital and support agencies and has previously worked on a Cooperative Agreement from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention addressing asthma in the school aged population. She also serves as an AHEC trainer, most recently presenting for the Asthma Education Institute.
