Physical Therapy

Physical therapy helps people regain movement and function after a physical or neurological injury so they can return to the activities they enjoy. Our physical therapists perform evaluations, develop treatment plans, and use treatment techniques to help alleviate pain, restpre functional mobility, and promote the healing process. Physical therapy may include:

  • Therapeutic exercise
  • Functional mobility training
  • Pain management
  • Muscle reeducation
  • Balance training and education

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy helps people develop the skills necessary for independent and satisfying lives. Our occupational therapists help patients learn new skills to regain independence with daily tasks and to participate in life roles. Occupational therapy may include:

  • Addressing cognitive, neurological, sensory processing, or strength deficits
  • Neuromuscular education
  • Therapeutic exercise
  • Visual perceptual retraining
  • Education on the use of adaptive equipment
  • Recommendations for home safety and lifestyle modification
  • Splinting needs for recovery of hand function

Speech Therapy

Speech therapy helps people with cognitive, communication, and swallowing problems resulting from various conditions.  Our speech language pathologists perform evaluations to determine the extent and severity of the patient’s impairment and develop treatment plans for all types of disorders, including:

  • Brain injury
  • Stroke
  • Speech and language problems
  • Feeding and swallowing problems
  • Reading and learning disabilities
  • Stuttering or slurred speech
  • Cognitive and memory problems
  • Voice disorders

A physician referral is required for all rehabilitation services and most insurance plans are accepted.
