The Atrium Health Mercy Hip and Knee Center is internationally recognized as a leader in the field of adult hip and knee care, and was honored to be the No. 1 hip and knee volume hospital in the state. The surgeons at the Hip and Knee Center perform more than 3,500 total hip and knee replacement surgeries each year.

Atrium Health Mercy Hip and Knee Center is a necessary component of research and education around total joint replacement surgery. The Center is a fellowship destination for joint replacement training and our surgeons are active in research programs and published studies. It is one of only 10 hip and knee replacement centers in North America to be selected as a visitation site each year for the John Insall Travelling Fellows, an exclusive international program of the Knee Society.
