CMC-Pineville Maternity Center, the original providers of LDRP (labor/ delivery/ recovery/ postpartum) suites in the Charlotte region, specializes in the complete care and
comfort of women during pregnancy and childbirth in a warm, home-like atmosphere.
 The unique design of the Maternity Center allows mothers to experience labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum
without leaving the LDRP suite, making delivery and recovery more peaceful and relaxing. The Maternity Center is
located in a separate wing of the hospital, complete with its own entrance for your convenience and privacy.
Our services include:
- 22 single room suites with whirlpool tubs, comfortable décor and rocking chairs
- 24-hour epidural anesthesia coverage
- Continuous nursing care by the same nursing team throughout labor, delivery and recovery
Comprehensive services for breastfeeding mothers, including inpatient assistance are provided by international
board-certified lactation consultants. Outpatient breastfeeding assistance and clinic appointments are offered by
Carolinas Lactation Center.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) works cooperatively with the Maternity Center to provide 24-hour care to
neonates (born at 30 weeks gestational age and older) who need help sustaining themselves, as well as infants who
are sick or at moderate to high risk.
The NICU is staffed by neonatal nurses, with 24-hour in-house coverage by neonatal nurse practitioners and 24-hour
supervision by board-certified neonatologists. Capabilities include:
- Therapeutic modalities including cardiac and respiratory monitoring
- Pulse oximetry
- Oxygen therapy
- Assisted ventilation
- UAC/UVC lines
- Chest tubes
- IV therapy
- Arterial blood sampling
- Phototherapy
Web Baby Nursery
Carolinas HealthCare System's Web Baby Nursery provides family and friends a way to see their new
loved ones born at CMC-Pineville.
For security reasons, the parents have requested their baby's page be password protected.
If you don't know or remember the visitor password, please contact the parents for that information.
Permission to post new babies in the Web Baby Nursery has been granted by the baby's parents or legal guardians.
