BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CENTER CAROLINAS MEDICAL CENTER-MERCY HORIZONS
Treatment Philosophy
We believe that Chemical Dependency is a treatable medical disease. At Behavioral Health Center (BHC)
CMC-Mercy Horizons, we treat adults age 18 and older who are suffering from alcohol and/or drug
addiction. Patients admitted to this level of care will receive a complete medical evaluation and
follow a prescribed detoxification regimen directed by a licensed physician.
Features
- Medical detoxification in a hospital setting
- Ability to treat medically compromised patients
- Medicaid, Medicare and most insurance plans accepted
- Admissions and referrals accepted around the clock, 7-days-a-week
BHC CMC-Mercy Horizons offers the only hospital-based medical detoxification program in Mecklenburg
County. With an 11-bed detoxification unit, we are able to give each patient personalized attention.
Additionally, we are a part of a large regional medical facility which means we are able to treat
patients who may have a higher level of medical acuity. BHC CMC-Mercy Horizons succeeds because of
its well-trained, skilled, seasoned professionals who design and implement treatment plans based on
patients' individual medical and clinical needs.
