GENERAL PRACTICE RESIDENCY
We welcome your interest in the General Practice Residency Program at Carolinas Medical Center. The following information provides an overview of the residency training programs at our institution. As you review this information, please note that we have two GPR training options, a one-year track and a two-year track. Both programs offer unique opportunities; however, we feel the two-year track has significant advantages by virtue of the expanded training experiences offered.
In addition to our GPR program, we also offer an accredited two-year Oral Medicine Residency Program. This program offers training in the diagnosis and nonsurgical management of diseases of the oral and maxillofacial complex. Information pertaining to this training opportunity is included in this document.
Our programs participate in both the Postdoctoral Application Support Service (PASS) and the Postdoctoral Dental Matching Program (MATCH). For additional information regarding the PASS and MATCH programs, please visit their respective websites at www.adea.org and www.natmatch.com. For additional information about our training programs, please visit our website at www.carolinashealthcare.org/education/meded/oral/.
