The Joint Commission Disease Specific Certifications

The Joint Commission logoThe Joint Commission’s Disease-Specific Care Certification Program, launched in 2002, is designed to evaluate clinical programs across the continuum of care. Certification is available at two levels, core and advanced. Both are evaluated through the same set of standards. However, the advanced certification programs must meet additional, clinically specific requirements and expectations.
