Research Summary

The R. Stuart Dickson Institute for Health Studies was conceived as an interdisciplinary, collaborative program of applied research and public health studies to aid Carolinas HealthCare System (CHS) in understanding changes in the healthcare environment through evaluation and research. Its principal mission was to foster and facilitate research performed at CHS with the purpose of enhancing the quality of healthcare and systems of delivery.

The Institute closed in 2012 with the opening of Dickson Advanced Analytics (DA2). The group is an innovative leader in the use of healthcare analytics for population health management and predictive modeling.
