Dr. Douglass joined Cabarrus Pediatrics in 1999, after completing pediatric residency and medical school at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
Dr. Douglass currently practices full-time general pediatrics with a special interest in international adoption medicine. He is board certified in pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
Dr. Douglass' passionate interest in international pediatrics dates back to his first medical mission trip in 1999 to Ecuador. He has subsequently participated on medical trips to Peru, Haiti, India and Kenya. Dr. Douglass and his wife also travelled to Russia and China, to adopt two of their four children. Dr. Douglass has cared for hundreds of international adoptees since 2002 and, while he is no longer reviewing pre-adoption medical records, he still loves to see adoptees from around the globe.
When he is not in clinic, Dr. Douglass enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is an avid marathoner and also enjoys hiking and photography.
