  • Consults and Electives Internal Medicine ResidentsResidents entering general medicine typically opt for rotations in gynecology, dermatology, orthopedics, allergy, and psychiatry.
  • Those entering fellowships may choose anything from endoscopy (for those considering GI) to a month in the cardiac catheterization or echocardiography labs (for those considering cardiology). In addition, there are opportunities to rotate with private practitioners in those specialties.
  • Residents interested in a hospitalist career may spend time with anesthesiologists or do a palliative care rotation.
  • Both preliminary and categorical residents may choose from all of these options.
