At Carolinas HealthCare System, you and your family can expect to receive the highest quality care when you come to one of our facilities.
Patients and families expect and deserve effective treatment and compassionate care. Our commitment to quality is tracked every day by hundreds of clinical professionals whose sole mission is to provide excellent care for all our patients.
On these pages, you'll find information that will be helpful in explaining quality improvement standards in specific clinical areas. Our scores will show you how often we provide the care that leads to the best outcomes for our patients during the treatment of heart attacks, heart failure, pneumonia, and surgical care.
The goal for any quality measurement is to score as high as possible, and to compare our scores with other hospitals across the state and nation. We always strive to be in the top 10 percent among all hospitals for all quality measures. Those benchmarks, or target results, are shown in green on the graphs you'll see here.
Quality measures are reported by quarter in our fiscal year, which runs from January through December. Here, you'll see data for the most recent two years.
You also can see our data at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) website, Hospital Compare. The data on Hospital Compare is nearly a year old when it is made available online, due to the time it takes to collect the data, transmit it to CMS, and then have it validated and posted by CMS.
We display our data in quarterly increments, so you can identify trends over time. The results you see here are the most recent available, and have not yet been posted on Hospital Compare.
We are Carolinas HealthCare System. The most experienced and trusted healthcare professionals are right here to provide excellent care for you and your family.
