The Robotic Surgery System

davinci surgical robotWe are pleased to offer new advancements in minimally invasive surgery to our patients. For patients, minimally invasive procedures can:

  • Minimize post-operative pain
  • Decrease recovery time
  • Decrease blood loss
  • Decrease risk of infection
  • Result in smaller surgical incisions

We use a minimally invasive system that uses a robotic tool and video system to assist surgeons in the operating room. CMC-University was the first hospital in north Mecklenburg to offer this technology. The surgical instrumentation improves precision and manipulation in small surgical spaces.
