The Pastoral Care staff at CMC-NorthEast practices and promotes a holistic approach to care. An emphasis on the emotional and spiritual aspects of healing in harmony with mental and physical aspects is our goal.
The department was founded in 1979 and was originally funded by local churches. Tony Biles was hired as the first chaplain and soon began a volunteer associate chaplain program comprised of local clergy whom he trained to provide 24 hour on call chaplain coverage. The department continues to benefit from the involvement of community clergy and congregations who are viewed as partners in ministry.
